The screen will now list your existing appointment groups. If you want to make additional changes before publishing, click the Save button. If you are ready to publish your appointment for students, click the Save & Publish button. If you want to add details about the appointment group, type them in the details field. Each member in the group will see the appointment on their own group Calendar. Note: When using the group signup option, only one group member needs to sign up for a time slot on behalf of their group. If you want to limit the number of appointments available, click the Limit Participants to appointment(s) checkbox. To make the appointment slots public to students in the course, click the Allow students to see who has signed up for time slots checkbox. If you selected the option to have students sign up in groups, this field reads as Limit each time slot for x groups. You can limit how many users can sign up for a time slot by clicking the Limit each time slot checkbox and typing the number of time slots in the limit field. ![]() You must create at least one time slot for each appointment group. However, additional dates, time ranges, and appointment slots can be added to the original appointment group. Note: The appointment date, time range, and appointment slots cannot be modified once the appointment group is saved. If you want to remove an appointment time, click the Remove icon. You can manually change any appointment time created by the division. To create the time slots, click the Go button. For instance, if you want to create 15-minute meeting times from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm, enter the number 15. You can split the time range into multiple time slots by entering the division time into the time field. Set the time range for the appointment by typing in the time range field. You can also select a date by clicking the Calendar icon. In the date field, enter the date of the appointment. However, additional calendars can be added to the original appointment group. Note: The calendar cannot be modified once the appointment group is saved. To close the Calendar list, click the Done button. Select the course(s) or section(s) where you want to show the appointment group. ![]() Select CalendarsĬlick the Calendar button. Type the location of the appointment in the location field. Type the name of the appointment in the name field. Create an Appointment GroupĬlick the Create an Appointment Group button. Open SchedulerĬlick the Scheduler button. In Global Navigation, click the Calendar link. Here are a few of the basics to get you started using the Scheduler tool. The various options for the scheduler allow you to limit times, occurrences, and whether the appointments are public or private. A great feature to help the faculty prepare for the students appointment. Another use for the scheduler is for students to submit topics for a speech or essay assignment.Ī new feature for the scheduler is an area in the scheduler where the student can leave a note for the faculty. The scheduler could also be used for scheduling student conferences during class time to have progress reports with the student. The scheduler creates a block of appointments that the faculty could use for office hours on a weekly basis for face-2-face courses or in conjunction with the conference tool, the Big Blue Button, for online courses. The Scheduler allows the faculty to set up blocks of time for scheduling appointments for students to select the time for their meeting with the faculty. There is a great Calendar feature that does not get talked about enough and it is the Scheduler.
